Beechman Theater

Cabaret Cares, the two time MAC Award and Bistro Award winning series, returns December 11th for the final performance of 2011.

The series, which benefits Help Is On The Way Today - a non for profit organization that helps and assists children living with HIV and AIDS in New York City - finishes its 2011 run with an evening of holiday songs called Holiday Duets.

Holiday Duets will take place at The Laurie Beechman Theatre (407 West 42nd Street). There is a $15 Cover plus please bring a gift or toy for child between the ages of 2-18. To make reservations call 212-695-6909.

Holiday Duets will feature some of the most talented people from Broadway and Off Broadway. The evening will feature Natalie Toro (Tale Of Two Cities, Les Mis, Cats); Danny Bolero (In the Heights); Doreen Montalvo (In The Heights); Liz McKendry (The Producers); David Foley Jr (Shrek The Musical); Alison Nusbaum (Girl Talk The Musical); and a special guest appearance by Samara Ehrlich (2011 METROSTAR RUNNER UP). MAC Award winner Tracy Stark musical directs.

Doors open at 6:15 and showtime is 7pm.

JUDY GALE’S BEACH BLAST is a new musical that mixes elements of The Wizard of Oz, the adult Judy Garland, and 1960s beach party movies. While traveling via ruby slippers on her way home from Oz, Dorothy Gale hits a bubble in time and lands in Malibu - smack dab in the middle of a groovy beach party. Mysteriously, that bubble in time also brought forth the spirit of the older, saltier Judy Garland. On her quest to find the way back to Kansas, the split personality of Judy Gale encounters teenage pop idols, a motorcycle gang, and even Soviet spies. Madcap mayhem ensues as Judy fights with herself, the commies and a certain over-developed Mousekateer. A book musical, the songs spoof a range of 60s music from the Mommas and the Papas to the Beatles to Grace Slick.

The D-Lounge @ The Daryl Roth Theater

Raissa Katona Bennett, Tituss Burgess, Natalie Joy Johnson, Trent Armand Kendall, Rosemary Loar, Mel & El Molly Pope, Sarah Rice, Mary Testa, and Joshua Warr are set to perform in a benefit concert to be held on Monday, March 7 at The D-Lounge. Miles Phillips will direct the event, which will have musical direction by Tracy Stark and raise funds for the newly formed company Art of Warr Productions.

In addition to the performance, the evening will include a raffle, where prizes will be autographed memorabilia and tickets to Off-Broadway shows such as The Divine Sister, Fuerza Bruta and Awesome 80's Prom.

Art of Warr Productions, which has been founded by performer Warr, will focus on creating theater that will appeal to young adult/adult audiences.

Tickets, priced at $25, will be available at the door.
